Improving Each Preparation

Throwback to when @igoralmeidabjj was prepping for @ibjjf Pan-Ams.

Starting with a solid base allows you to make small changes with big results.

Every year @igoralmeidabjj came back leaner and leaner, making his preparation period easier both mentally and physically.

This is what you want to strive for as an athlete. Your offseason is not a time to become unfit and overweight.

Fat Loss - Jon Bovard

Fat Loss - Jon Bovard

It is always good to see your clients happy with their results and how they are progressing. Jon started working with us a couple of months ago and has had some great results. This is what he posted on Facebook just the other day:

"this year, at 41, I finally decided to do something.

Before I was 97kg, 27% bodyfat and grumpy.

Now after 3 months of eating right, training hard, and driving my poor wife crazy, I am 12kg lighter and grumpy.

thanks to my poor wife Lou for putting up with me, and THP - Total Health Performance Nathan, for the advice and keeping me honest."

Jon has also dropped 10% body fat and increased his lean muscle mass. He has also won a few jiu jitsu medals over the past month or two and is preparing for nationals in Melbourne this weekend, so we wish him all the best.

We do get people to lose a lot of weight so if you thought we were just for athletes, it isn't the case, we can also help you reach your fat loss goals.

Bruno Alves Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu World Championship Preparation

Bruno Alves Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu World Championship Preparation

Bruno's preparation for the 2017 Abu Dhabi World Pro is on track. He is one of the hardest working athletes I have ever met. It is great to see him progress each competition. The thing that impresses me is that he is already at the top of his game and is always looking to better himself.

I love the passion and dedication Bruno has for his sport. He is driven and knows what he wants, and more importantly does the work to achieve his goals. He is an inspiration to so many people and is a great mentor to his students at SJJA, both on and off the mat.

When working with high level athletes like Bruno every detail counts. This is very exciting to Gemma and myself as we get challenged and we also get to implement all the things we have learned over the years. With most clients it is about building a foundation but with Bruno, Aaron and Igor we get to do some more advanced things.

The above photo is a comparison between last year and this year. We look forward to seeing him compete.
