Health Is Not An Expense

Health Is Not An Expense

February 7, 2017
I love this quote. It's clear and simple, like a smack in the face.

Health shouldn't fall into the same column as say a car or a new pair of shoes. Those things are an expense, health is not.

Health for the average person isn't expensive if you really look at it. You don't have to buy only organic food, you don't have to spend thousands on the best trainer in the world, you don't have to spend hours a day training or meal prepping, you don't have to restrict your social life, you just have to make smart choices.

Do you drink enough water? Do you eat too much processed food? Do you go to bed late? Do you get blind drunk every weekend? Do you sit and watch tv for hours? Do you even eat veggies?

People wait until something bad happens like developing a disease or going to the doctor and being told your too overweight to have a child. These things don't just happen overnight, they have been developing and progressing for years, you just haven't done anything about it because of X, Y and Z.

The excuses are endless but what it really comes down to are you going to invest in your health or are you going to put it on the back burner because 'other' things are more important?
What if you're not around long enough to do those 'other' things?

Food for thought (no pun intended)
